The Stock Exchange Palace - a landmark and one of the most beautiful places to visit in Porto.

The Porto Trade Association began building the Palácio da Bolsa, its headquarters, in 1842. Today the building is classified as a National Monument and it is one of Porto's main attractions. Over several generations great names in architecture, painting, sculpture and decorative arts contributed to the construction of this architectural jewel of 19th century neoclassical style.

During the tour organised exclusively, outside the normal opening hours, for IPRA-CINDER congress participants, we will enjoy a visit the impressive rooms of a building which is over 180 years old and has hosted state visits from almost every country in the world. It is still a preferred venue for most official state receptions held in the north of Portugal.

CAVES FERREIRA - Guided tour and Port wine tasting

Return to the origins of the Portuguese soul and tradition with a glass of Porto Ferreira. Immerse yourself in the history of Port and Douro wine and discover one of its most charismatic and legendary figures - Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira.

Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira (1811-1896), affectionately known as "Ferreirinha", was one of the most striking personalities in the history of the Douro Wine Region. A woman who became a symbol not only of entrepreneurship and Douro viticulture, but also a great example of altruism and generosity towards the poor.

The guided tour, exclusively for IPRA-CINDER congress participants, begins in the Dona Ferreirinha room with a brief introduction and is followed by a tour of the cellars where hundreds of barrels and vats where the port wine ages are stored, the vintage museum and the garden. The programme ends with a tasting of three different types of Port wine.
